You stood chewing your lips
I waited with silent poise
our glances were the thieves
stealing images of lowered eyes
You din't speak,
I couldn't think what to
Young; we talked so much
still got this hush in lieu
It wasn't fair! Not fair!
But sorrow has everyone's share
So, I bade farewell,
no tears fell
neither any promises exchanged
An apology was paid with my weary eyes
and your dolorous look soughed- "likewise".
